Last week was one of my favourite weeks of the year, the week of Iceland Airwaves. This year we had some interesting foreign visitors, such as Father John Misty, Perfume Genius, Ariel Pink and of course some of my local favourites, Agent Fresco, Æla, Grísalappalísa and many more. I saw many shows, both on the ambitious off-venue schedule and of course on the festival itself. Here are some of my best shots from the festival.
The band Agent Fresco came for a visit to the studio during their visit to Akureyri where they were performing at the AK Extreme festival.
A late night session with the singer Hilda (Þórhildur) Örvarsdóttir ended up in this collection of photos. She is a singer and a vocal coach, known for her collaboration with her brother and film composer Atli Örvarsson. Thanks to Eva Dögg Fjölnisdóttir for make-up and hair and guidance during the session and Hilda’s husband, Skúli Gautason, for his assistance.
I will present some pictures from my portfolio along with 12 other photographers in Kedlen Showroom in Aarhus today, 6. February 2015.
